Belsize Park Area Guide
NW3 is for the most part comprised of Hampstead and Belsize Park, but also includes portions of Frognal, Childs Hill, South Hampstead, Swiss Cottage, Primrose Hill, Chalk Farm and Gospel Oak. Encompassing some of the most desirable residential areas in Greater London, NW3 residents benefit from attractive architecture, great transport links and their close proximity to Hampstead Heath’s 790 acres of protected parkland. Significant amounts of the area’s residential streets are also protected, leaving them largely unchanged from their days of Victorian grandeur.
Belsize Park
Positioned between Camden Town, Kentish Town, Primrose Hill and Hampstead Village, Belsize Park oozes class. Belsize Park’s geographical position perhaps best explains its character, nestled between upmarket Hampstead and the eclectic buzz of Camden, the area is perfect for professionals and families (with a dose of celebrity residents to boot).
Architecturally the area is similar in building and road style to its neighbours: wide, tree-lined avenues and a welcome assortment of Victorian terraces and semi-detached townhouses pervade. Being a ten-minute walk from both Hampstead Heath and Primrose Hill gives residents a choice between two of London’s most celebrated parks, while the range of transportation on offer gives workers easy and swift access to London’s commercial core.
